Sigstop, Richard Devine
Monday, March 21, 2005 at 2:51AM Ex-Warp & Schematic man Richard Devine is here for your listening pleasure, pressed onto a lovingly rendered 12" picture disc featuring tracks torn from his recent Cautella LP. Sigstopopens with 'Sigstop'; a mid-air collision of Warp's finest that leaves you feeling thoroughly sated if not a little bit debased. Next is the digital shredder of 'Arc-Acid', wherein Devine appropriates a noise not entirely removed from how Plastikman might sound were he to have a dabble in some Dubstep, whilst on the other 'Matvec Interior' (with Otto Von Schirach) is an Edvard Munch for the ears and Funkstroung's remix of the title track is speaker crippling.
Hymen Records released only 500 copies of this wicked sigstop limited edition 12'' picture disc. The picture disc comes in a clear pvc plastic sleeve. Released in collaboration with Sublight Records.
