Disconnected, by Funkstorung

Glitch-hop was born when German production duo Funkstorung cannibalised New York hip-hop on their seminal remix of the Wu Tang Clan's "Reunited". They mutilate and invigorate the rhymes of some more underground NY rappers (Tes and Rob Sonic) on this, their third album. But on a lighter note, Massive Attack vocalist Sarah Jay, Louise Rhodes of Lamb and someone called Enik all contribute vocals to songs which are surprisingly conventional trip-hop. The production is amazing but the tone is completely schizophrenic.
